February To Be Read • 2021

Good afternoon my lovely pals! It’s the 31st of January and I’ve really been thinking about my February tbr because I am so excited for all of these books. In February i’m participating in the romance in february readathon hosted by my friend Sam, along with Madison. 2021 is the year that I’m getting back into romance because, although I have still been reading it, I got too caught up in the hype there for a while, so this readathon is about to be so fun!

I have doubled up on multiple prompts and my tbr is kind of short. This is because i’m a huge mood reader and can’t stick to a tbr to save my life, so expect me to read more than these.

Romance in February TBR

The Stopover – T.L. Swan

Goodreads synopsis

My first book of the month is going to be the literary love book clubs pick for Feb. I started this early because I am anticipating February to be a bit busy. My thoughts so far are allll over the place and I can’t wait to discuss this at the end of the month with the discord chat. If you are interested in this one, please come join us over on discord to discuss, I’d love to have you.

Prompts: NSFW, >450pgs, meet cute, anticipated, slow burn

A Thousand Boy Kisses – Tillie Cole

Goodreads Synopsis

I am so ready for this book to make me bawl. I have hyped this so much in my head because it really seems like something that will be a new favourite for me. Please don’t let me down. 🥺

Prompts: pink cover, cult fave, on TBR for a while, made you cry (anticipating it to make me cry oops)

Written in the Stars – Alexandria Bellefleur

Goodreads Synopsis

This one is a sapphic romance, which I have never read before. I think i’m going to listen to this one on Scribd, because I need to add some audiobooks into the mix. This has a bit of hype and the fake dating trope is great when done well. Alexandria.. pull through please.

Prompts: couple on the cover, fave trope, LGBTQIA+

Lilac – B.B. Reid

Goodreads Synopsis

This is a longggg one, around the same length as the stopover. I suck with long books so i’m hoping this won’t drag. This book revolves around a band, who recruit the main heroine when one of their members pass away. She forms a relationship will all of the members, aka this is a reverse haram. If you know me, you know I have become so in love with this trope. Like.. so in love. I have high, high hopes. (seems to be a theme for this tbr)

Prompts: new-to-you-trope (i know it’s not brand new but I haven’t read too many books with this)

Let me Free You – Alexandria House

Goodreads Synopsis

I have never heard of this author before, so I’m intrigued! This is the fourth book in the series but they’re all companions, so I really don’t mind. This was recommended by a few different booktubers and i’m excited to see what this has to over to the bodyguard trope.

Prompts: BIPOC, <250pgs, part of a series

With these books that I have picked for my readathon TBR, I have a few squares left to the bingo board to fill. I think i’m going to mood read for these and may not even complete all the prompts, it really makes no difference!

LIBBY HOLDS

Here are some books I have on hold on libby that are coming in the next month. I may or may not get to these, but they’re options, so I figured I’d share!

I’m so excited to read all of the books on my TBR this month. Here’s to hoping my mood reading brain doesn’t kick in until I can at least get through the romance in feb tbr. I’d love to know what you guys plan to read this month! Are you participating in any readathons? Until next time,

  1. I love this formatting! Also, knowing you you’ll probably read so much more than this 😂 I’ll be participating in the Fantasy Romance February because I like romance but I never seem to love it on its own. Maybe the fantasy aspects will help me find a new favorite.
